Dr. Fiona Ann Rajkumar is an Associate Professor of History at the University of the Southern Caribbean. She has an Undergraduate degree from the University of the West Indies St. Augustine which focused on History and Literature, an MA with Distinction in History from UWI, St. Augustine and in 2007 she completed a PhD in history also conferred by the UWI, St. Augustine. At the undergraduate level Dr. Rajkumar lectures in the areas of Caribbean History, Caribbean Research and Minority Groups in the Caribbean and Graduate Writing and Research at the Graduate level. She is currently the Secretary of the Faculty Senate at the University of the Southern Caribbean and an Executive Member of the Association of Caribbean Historians. Her areas of research interest include ethnic minorities, economic and migration history in the context of Trinidad, advocacy for history education and homeschooling and youth mentorship in the Caribbean context. Dr. Rajkumar loves travelling, especially to various Caribbean countries, and she and her husband Rodney Rajkumar have been homeschooling their two daughters for the past 12 years.
